We all go through phases and style choices over the years, that are questionable. For me, I was more of a streetwear aficionado than sartorial dandy, but as I grew up and my tastes started to refine, I realised I didn’t need to box myself in to one specific style. Which is what birthed We Are Outlanders. As a group and as individuals we’re able to touch upon different subcultures and the styles that come with it, leading us to work with a range of different clients from more casual brands Y-3, Levi’s, Palladium to sartorial brands like Ted Baker, Ben Sherman and now… HKT LDN. For us, its nice to change it up once in a while and see how we can put our own spin on things, especially if the brand already has a strong image like Hackett.
If Hackett is more West London, then HKT can be described as East London, so we decided to mix the smart and casual pieces, topped off with our signature hats to create our looks for this campaign. Some standout pieces added to this season’s offerings include a patchwork unstructured navy blazer and plenty of toasty corduroy, thats perfect for the colder months. Also a highlight are the printed t-shirts inspired by adventurers and the outdoors, that are great for layering up under cord shirts and casual jackets. And location-wise, what’s more East London than Shoreditch? A lot of places, but we decided this was the best spot to shoot and cover a part of London we always frequent.
