It’s that time of year again, another round of special-edition Padded Pak’r backpacks designed by some of the world’s biggest names in fashion. The design project was created back in 2010 to raise awareness and support a charity organisation called Designers Against AIDS (DAA). This year sees designers such as Kenzo, Vetements, AMI Paris, Wanda Nylon, Jacquemus, Giambattista Valli, Alexandre Valthier, Nicopanda, House of Holland and Inan participate to redecorate, reconstruct, reinvent and reinterpret truly one-off designs from an already iconic backpack. I’m quite partial to the more simple designs, but i think it’s safe to say Christopher Raeburn smashed it with yet another animal-inspired creation. Previous designers include Jean Paul gaulthier, Walter Van Beirendonck, Richie Culver and more.
