RI DESIGN X TOURNE DE TRANSMISSION
River Island are collaborating with new menswear heavyweights Tourne de Transmission to create an Urban East/West crossover collection, featuring muted colours and inspiring Japanese techniques such as Boro in irresistible patchwork denim and muted linen, canvas, and cotton.
The collection looks like a page out of Westworld, mixed in with Seven Samurai. Or, for you action figure aficionados out there, the iconic and effortlessly cool look of the reimagined West Wars figurines that took Star Wars figures and placed them in a futuristic Wild West!
Tourne de Transmission have always been avant garde, and knowing that they are pairing with River Island is an exciting prospect that I am very much looking forward to experiencing. This look is right up my street, accented with wide brim fedoras, kimono details, and military pockets with matte snap fastenings.
Be sure to keep an eye out for this collab, it’s looking to be the best one yet!
