Although i’m part Chinese i’ve never really been into Chinese music. It just isn’t my taste in music. Hip Hop however has always been in my life. And even though I grew up with Biggie, Eminem, Pharrell… I guess western Hip Hop in general, i’ve recently been slowly feeding myself with East Asian music. The usual. Big Bang, Keith Ape, Jay Park and all those cool Korean artists. It wasn’t until I found 88rising‘s YouTube channel that i found these cats from China; The Higher Brothers. I don’t know whether it’s the lack of good Western Rap music these days but damn I’m feeling this tune right now!
